Right now there is a volcano erupting in Hawaii. It has already destroyed 26 homes. Lava fissures, which are vents or slits opened up in one area. They shoot up lava 70 meters into the air. The lava can reach the heat of 1150 degrees Celsius. There was a 6.9 magnitude earthquake on the south side of the volcano which was the biggest since 1975.
